The Company

In February 2003 the certified interpreters and translators Katharina Krause, Kristina Lange and Kristin von Randow founded TRANSLATIONES GbR – the forerunner of today’s TL TRANSLATIONES GmbH – with the aim of setting up an agency for high-quality foreign language communication. From the beginning, the three managing directors specialised in translating and interpreting in the field of renewable energy, specifically in the subject areas of solar energy, wind power, bioenergy, hydropower and geothermal energy.

Thanks to the consistent production of quality translations, and also to the growth of the renewable energy sector, the first employees were engaged in 2005. From this year on, the range of translation subjects gradually expanded into specialist areas such as environmental engineering, construction technology, railway engineering, measurement, control and system technology. Further thematic specialisations followed, in the fields of law, business, finance, PR, marketing, medicine, pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs.

The range of languages offered was also consistently extended. So today, the customers of TL TRANSLATIONES profit from the widest possible interpreting and translation service spectrum, all available from a single source. Besides the main European languages: English (UK), German, French, Spanish and Italian, TL TRANSLATIONES also speaks American English, Arabic, Turkish, and has mastered the Spanish and Portuguese of Latin America as well as the Scandinavian and Slavic languages.

Within a few years the three-person founding team has grown into a successful company with a constantly expanding workforce, supporting more than 1,000 satisfied customers in Germany and abroad. The guiding principle of the company – especially where our own growth is concerned – has always been to maintain our quality standards of translation and interpreting at the accustomed high level. For this reason the company attaches great importance to intensive training and concerted skill enhancement of the team. In addition, consistent quality management and the use of state-of-the-art technical resources ensure the quality of our translation and interpreting services for all of our customers.
