BERLIN-BASED CONFERENCE INTERPRETER
Since graduating from Berlin Humboldt University as an interpreter in 2002, I have worked as a conference interpreter in German, English and Spanish. My assignments are mostly in the Berlin region, but they have also taken me across Germany and further afield. I have a diverse work profile that ranges from medical lectures and accompanying a political delegation to discussions with literary authors, scientific conferences and live television broadcasts.
I was interested in languages from an early age. Even as a child, I could already speak very good English. After completing my school education at a high school in Scotland, taking my Abitur exams in Germany, studying abroad in Spain and several stays in Latin America, this passion became my career. My current working languages are English and Spanish, but I also speak good Italian and have basic knowledge of French and Farsi.
Since 2003, my professional activity as a conference interpreter has been organised through TL TRANSLATIONES, the company based in Berlin which I run together with my business partner Katharina Krause. Since then, in addition to my work as an interpreter, I have been involved in business and HR management, marketing and labour relations. This has added a range of additional practical skills to my profile.
